"A Taste of Potfest"
16th May 2015 - 5th Jul 2015
Introducing 16 top quality ceramic artists from our neighbouring counties - Lancashire, Northumbria, Co Durham, Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders. All are well established, well respected in the ceramics world with very distinctive individual styles. More than 200 potters from all over the UK, mainland Europe and beyond will be showing their work over the two weekends of Potfest this summer. A taste of Potfest shows the work of some of our nearest neighbours who will be taking part in that festival.

Working with Geoff and Christine Cox, the organisers of Potfest, we all think that this exhibition will add a new dimension to ceramics and ceramic artists in the north west.

A taste of Potfest will be the first ceramics exhibition in our new "Upstairs at Upfront" gallery space.

The 62 Group : NOW!
19th Mar 2015 - 10th May 2015
The group will be exhibiting work on an open theme, reflecting the diversity of subjects, materials and approaches explored by itʼs members.

62 Group - NOW aims to present the work of the group as a snapshot or moment in time. Members will be submitting work that represents current projects and areas of research.

"The 62 Group of Textile Artists last exhibited at Upfront in Cumbria as part of the ʻRedʼ exhibition tour in 2002. The Group are excited to be making a return visit to the gallery in 2015 with ʻ62 Group • Nowʼ an eclectic collection of our member's current work”

The 62 Group is an artist led organisation. We aim to incorporate and challenge the boundaries of textile practice through an ambitious and innovative annual programme of exhibitions.

Since its establishment in 1962 some of the most highly regarded British textile artists have been members of the 62 Group. The membership is now international and is achieved through selection.

The group represents a wide range of textile disciplines including tapestry, embroidery, feltmaking, print, constructed and three-dimensional approaches.
